Anna Grabovac

Hello there,

I am currently working as a lecturer in syntax at Rutgers. I've also taught at the University of Maryland and Georgetown.

I have a PhD in Linguistics from University College London, where I also completed my MA with a specialization in syntax. My dissertation, Maximizing the concord domain: Concord as spellout in Slavic, is available here. This work argues that certain agreement phenomena internal to the nominal domain, such as the features shared between nouns and their modifiers, should not be analyzed in the same way as agreement that is external to the nominal domain, particularly the features shared between subjects and verbs.

My research centers around formal syntax and its interfaces. Broadly, I'm interested in the interactions between morphosyntactic features and the implications they have for structure. Some topics I've worked on include agreement phenomena, case theory, ellipsis, and coordination.

My CV can be downloaded here, and you can reach me by email at anna.j.grabovac@gmail.com.
